Gaming is really hyped in college days apparently. I was surprised to see so many people streaming on YouTube, generally with the hopes of becoming a gamer on YouTube or a Youtuber in general.

This page won't have links for becoming a gamer tips but more about links of facts here and there to help you get big. It is more of a 'How can you get big with gaming if you want to' blog.

It really fascinated me to see gaming out all things be this really close to the heart thing for many people. I used to think, "It's just games, why care so much?". Turns out, I'm wrong in a major way. People care about gaming. A lot.

What I'm going to put forward are a few possible reasons why one would want to become a gamer, how can one actually become a big gamer in the next few years.

The major question is: There are so many people streaming out there, how do you stand out?

Demand of gaming as a career

A few years ago, the most desired career among children was astronaut. Today, it's Youtuber. Why?

Kids are the perfect example to understanding what's "cool" as they are the most transparent way of understanding status.

Back in the day, the astronaut had everyone's eye hence had status. Today, the eyes are on Youtubers and this effect is multiplied because you can now clearly see the number of subscribers and likes that a person has.

So there's a good chance that somewhere or the other, you also want the same type of status as your favorite gamer.

Another thing to understand is that humans are evolved from chimps, who essentially mimic the chimp with higher status. Humans work the same way. You saw a gamer first and then started streaming, not you started streaming first and then saw a gamer.
